Glassware Needed

Anyone who has glasses that could be used for the dime pitch at the Lyons Fire Co. Carnival could drop them off at the Fire Company. They can be dropped off at the Engine Room on a Tuesday night from 6:30 - 9:00 PM or at the social quarters. Simply mark the bag/box 'glasses for dime pitch'. We appreciate your donation and hope to see you at the Carnival!

Lyons Fire Company Brings Home Trophies

Six members of the Lyons Fire Company truck crew attended the 100th Anniversary of the Trexlertown Fire Company.  This is a way to show the respect you have for your neighboring companies. The parade was held with judging of the fire trucks and personnel. Our boys brought home two trophies. One trophy was for 2nd place - Best Appearing and Functional Rescue Truck and the other trophy was the Judge's Award for Best Appearing and Functional Brush Truck. Our Firemen take pride in their equipment and care for it appropriately.

FIRE SEASON HAS BEGUN!

We are currently in a lull right now as we are in the middle of the summer. However since we are experiencing dry conditions due to lack of rain, BEWARE! Please try to refrain from burning until further notice. Things are extremely dry and catch fire quickly. There have already been many acres burned on the mountain in Lehigh and Berks Counties. A red flag warning has not been declared as of yet, but if conditions don't change, there will be no choice but for townships to declare burn bans. Don't forget, the life and property you save may be your own!
