SANDY PENSINGER, Fire Police (Retired)

It is with deep regret that we say good-bye to Sandy Pensinger. Sandy was a loyal Fire Police to the Lyons Fire Company for many years, her retirement occurring in 1996. We appreciate her services in keeping the public safe!. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to her family at this time.

See YouTube link below to witness the Honor Salute the firefighters gave Sandy as her funeral procession passed by.

Volunteers Needed!

Have you ever thought about volunteering with your local fire department - they can use all the help they receive. Volunteer firefighters and volunteer fire police are desperately needed! You say you don't think you could handle running toward a fire? No problem. There are so many behind-the-scene  things that we need help with! We will pay and set up any training you may need or want. If you have any interest in helping the fire department as well as the community, please come and talk to any of the officers of the Lyons Fire Department. You can find them every Tuesday night from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Or leave a message to set up another time convenient for you to talk to them. This can be a very rewarding adventure for you!

Lyons Fire Company Brings Home Trophies

Six members of the Lyons Fire Company truck crew attended the 100th Anniversary of the Trexlertown Fire Company.  This is a way to show the respect you have for your neighboring companies. The parade was held with judging of the fire trucks and personnel. Our boys brought home two trophies. One trophy was for 2nd place - Best Appearing and Functional Rescue Truck and the other trophy was the Judge's Award for Best Appearing and Functional Brush Truck. Our Firemen take pride in their equipment and care for it appropriately.
